Here are a few test pics of the new backdrop....the models are OLD.
I had to set things up quickly because of the weather, it has been raining off and on all day, I was very lucky it stopped raining AND the sun came out at the same time, so only a part of the photobase was used so it was not a very good test of my backdrop but I was glad to get any pics at all today. ;D

Thanks Greg and Eddie!

Next time I will set up the whole thing, the pictures should be a little better then.

That last photo sure has the magic touch.  Man, I've got to get painting!  Unfortunately, we just got another dump of snow so no outdoor pics until I do up my next "winter" diorama (for my CF-18 SuperHornet).

Looking forward to more pics when your weather clears up, Matrixone.

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

I know this post is about the backdrop, which is great by the way, but I really like the way you've done the grass on the base!  Often, grass can look a bit too 'synthetic' if flock is just thrown onto a base, but you've taken the time to create bare patches, very realistic, especially for an airfield.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks JHM and Mossie!

JHM,
You are soooo lucky to get snow where you live, I can only dream of the chances of having snow to do some Eastern Front type of pictures. It rarely snows where I live.

Mossie,
Thanks for noticing the bare patches on the photobase. A little more trouble to do but was worth it.
