Has anybody bought the Hobbyboss Me262?

Saw one when I was in Sydney but it was dearer than the revell one. Can anybody give their impressions, thoughts on the kit?

A shot of the sprues would be nice

I have some ideas, thanks to the Me 262 variants thread and was wondering if the hobbyboss kit was going to be easier or harder to modify than the Revell.

cheers

I've bought one and, while it's certainly not a bad kit, I was disappointed. Unlike the Hobby Boss He-162, the engine nacelles are in two halves which slightly goes against the "easy build" approach and, if you fit the cockpit interior as it's designed to go, then the pilot would need to stand on the seat to see out. Building is no quicker than a conventional kit and you still have to do some filling and sanding, the joins are just in different places. Unless there are accuracy issues that I'm missing, I'd say that it doesn't seem to offer any advantages over the Revell model. Sprue picture below:

Thanks for the Sprue shot.

Looks like the seam around the top and bottom halves would be a real fuzzy bunny to fill.

I think that I will stick to the revell one.

Cheers for that!
