Last weekend we had a small, anual event here at the Antwerp airport based SV4 museum. The SV4 Fly Inn is a gathering of the Belgian build Stampe Vertongen biplane. Several still fly in and around Belgium and visit this meeting as well as several other old timers. Usualy a Spitfire is also, present but this year we had a Mustang present also. The Scandinavian Hystoric Flight P 51 "Old Crow" is this year based in Belgium again to attend airshows all over Europe.

Oh well, enough small talk, here are some pictures.

First a couple SV 4's

2 Harvards.

Nice photos - anymore of that homebuilt?  Also, what was the Italian looking bird (shown on your website)?

Thanks Greg, not from this year. I was standing in the wrong place when it left  :banghead:
But here are a couple from last year. See, it can fly  I have a few more of it static but have to look for them on my other PC. If you want to see more, let me know and I'll have a look for them.

The Italian looking aircraft is not only looking the part but is indeed an Italian bird. A Fiat G46 5A. Part of the Vormezeele collection it was a frequent guest on shows some years ago but is not often seen around anymore.

Thanks for that - I like that homebuilt!

Thanks for the Fiat info too - I guessed it had to be a Fiat, just didn't know which.

Greg

Thanks guys,

Greg, You're welcome

The spit and Mustang formation was a great sight indeed Nev. Didn't last long, unfortunately. One pass and that was it. oh well, I guess we"re lucky to have a few fly bys at all. Regarding the fact that there is no real display allowed at the airport.

The hyomebuild is indeed a special thing, garanteed to get a lot of intrest wherever it goes.

Indeed Nils, we could have met up then. Better luck next time.
