G'day Gang,

For those that like 'wind & wires' type flying, there's a review over on Modellversium of Revell Germany's Sopwith Triplane in 72nd.

Thanks to Upnorth and the amazing speed of the Czech Postal Service, I'm now building one of these. It's a really nice little kit, but there's quite a bit of flash on mine. It's building up well and the way the engine and cowling are designed lends towards easily modifying it with something else should you choose. Another benefit is for some odd reason they toss in a larger horiz. stab. which is not used, so you get a free spare. The decals appear very nice too although I'm diving into the decal stash for my project.

Sprue Bros. has these going for less than $6.

How old is it ? Early 60's ? I've a few of these old WWI types and the moulds have held up quite well. Although because of the relative unpopularity of WWI they havn't been used to much
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Its early-mid 60s in vintage, but still gets respect. There are a couple of reviews out there on the net that say she's still worthy build.

It would be nice to see Roden or Eduard tool up a new Tripehound seeing as they are both giving WWI a good deal of attention in their respective catalogs. Being as how there would be no Fokker DR.I without the Tripehound as the catalyst to create it, you could hardly say the Sopwith Triplane was insignificant or in any way a bit player in the conflict.
