Staples are doing a packet of push-pins for 90p, which are little 9mm spheres: just the right size for a 1/72nd FLIR ball, and with a built-in steel axle to mount it too.

Another excellent source for small sperical shapes can be found with sporting goods stores that sell the 6mm plastic pellets that many wanna-be Rambo types use in those overly expensive pellet guns that are electrically powered.

Other finds were;

Some pens (Staples comfort stic ballpoints) whose caps are a dead-ringer for a jet camera nose, complete with chisel tip and flats on either side for the obliques. It test-fits beutifully to a Mirage IIII....

Some big markers whose caps can make slightly "cartoony" jet engines for my Flying Saucery GB job. As a bonus, the barrels from the ballpoints are also just the right size to fit in the back of them, giving me the extended-core-jetpipe look this particular project needs.

I love stuff like this..... ;D ;D ;D (Mind you, gotta compete with BdB's breadclips (:bow:) somehow, since we havn't seen a breadclip here for years..... :rolleyes:)
