Here are the pics of my Bf 109G-10, I like how this model turned out and it really looks the part. Not bad for such an old kit, a big  to Revell for getting it right so many years ago when this kit was first released.

Now that these pictures are finished its back to work on the Fw 190A-10 and 'secret bomber'!

As always Matrixone, this 109 is just masterfully done! You've got an amazing talent when it comes to Luft-schemes. This beautiful 109 had me doing a little research as I'd never seen a "Gustav" without the cannon blisters behind the engine decking. The black and white shots are icing on the cake and I have no doubts one day they'll be in a Squadron "In Action" reference as "authentic" historic photos.

Nice try, now stop posting those WW2 photos of the real aircraft and start posting the photos of your model  ;D

Nice.  And that last photo really looks like the real thing.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

You're da man. Well done.

Thanks guys!

Its always a pleasure to build this older kit, I have a few more left in my stash and its a good thing too since the price of kits has gone up so much lately these old kits are even more of a bargain.

Thank you Patrick!

I like how this model turned out but the pictures are not as good as I wanted them to be, I only had a short time frame to work with so things were a bit rushed. Some things you just can't rush and get by with.

I agree in this point ...
But, believe me: your model and your pics are just perfect, as always

fully agree but if this is a rush job, I don't want to see a real good and slow job of your hands. In that case I can better sell all my models and camera equipement and start knitting or something like that.  ;D

Thanks very much ysi_maniac and Patrick!

One thing that will make or break a picture is the lighting, I am very fussy about that and prefer to take my pictures when the conditions are just right. This time of year it is difficult to get good pictures because the sun is not out that often and trees near my house block a lot of the light and cast too many shadows when it is sunny. In a month or two conditions will improve quite a bit for taking pictures as more sunlight and less shadows fall on my property and allow me to have more working time to set up things.

Another 109 pic...

Well you already know I like this a lot..... never seen those white lines near the wingtips before, is there a reason for them ?...... enquiring minds need to know !

Thanks Ian,

Those white lines near the wingtips are not some sort of marking, they are a sealing tape. As quality declined on the production lines late in the war parts sometimes did not match up so well and to keep the join between the wing and the wingtips smooth a sealing tape was sometimes used to cover any rough areas or gaps. This tape was actually more of a light gray color and not white like my model has on it. I am not sure if the sealing tape was also used on the undersides of the wings...it may have been but it would be hard to see against the 76 paint color.
BTW, the tape was seen mostly on the G-10/U4 variant.
