I have it narrowed down to three of Richard's profiles but haven't settled on one yet but I have picked the kit :)

I can start as soon as I hit the LHS tomorrow at lunch...need some paint. My assistant for this build will be General, she has already claimed the box bottom.

Radish

Just make sure you follow General's instructions/orders!!
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Still His (or Her) Majesty, Queen Caroline of the Midlands, Resident Drag Queen

Why is it that cats ALWAYS claim the boxes, even when there are built sub assemblies and fragile bits in them??  One of my cats used to do it all the time. Before I had to re home him that is   >:(

The General seems like a sensible cat
These are a bit less

I would prefer the General

BlackOps

I'm gonna kick myself later but I'm going to go with this one:

Gonna be a masking nightmare but I do so love this profile

Anyhow, made some progress today even if it's not much. I'm really trying to make myself slow down and do it right, so I've added some scratch building to the cockpit area to spice it up a bit. I cut little itty bitty styrene pieces and some very fine wire and stated randomly gluing.

I can't believe this is about four hours worth of cutting gluing and painting  I am happy with the results though.

A few more pics.

Building Tip Alert
Dont build the cockpit section then glue to the main fus..... Attach each forward section to each aft section then bring them together in the usual way..... Avoids a big PSR job as they dont quite match. Trust me, I've built this puppy before.

Thanks for the heads up Ian, fortunately I was just test fitting this section and haven't glued it yet  :o  Anything that saves me PSR is always welcome  ;D

Looking good so far Black Ops. I may join in with a Mig-21 to get the so called juices flowing again :)

And thanks for the heads up Ian

Oh sure, NOW you advise on this?!?!  Heh, heh....mine ended up the PSRFH (from H*ll) route.  BlackOps: this is looking incredible.  I've got that tingly feeling like maybe...nope, not quite going through puberty yet (my voice is still all squeaky) but tingly....
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.
