from the folks who brought you the Schneider '49 and Jasta Schweinhimmel:

The IPMS-Seattle Jet What-If? Build.
Anything goes in any scale as long as its a jet.
:party: :party: :cheers:
Appropriate for what used to be called Jet City, no?

Yes, I have posted links to this forum and Madoc's online collection of profiles by Jennings and others. ;D

Hopefully someone builds GTX's Phantom-canopied Arado 234!    Seattle's got some fine modelers there and in the near.

:cheers:

Here is more info on the build from Mike Millete:

Folks,

Before we get too far down the road without a map, here are the preliminary "rules" and awards for the Jet What-If.  More to follow.

* All scales OK
* It's a military aircraft project
* Anything turbine powered (turbo-props, turbo-jets, helos, etc.)
* Time frame: 1950 to near future (post WWII/Schneider '49)
* Paint projects OK (alternate markings on a real aircraft)
* Paper projects OK ("real" paper projects or modeler tweaked builds)
* Please provide documentation (your models story)

Awards list at the present:

Top Gun Award - Grand Prize, best of the best (all scales)
Large scale - (1/60 and larger) 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Small scale - (1/61 and smaller) 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Kelly Johnson Award - Best imaginative design (all scales)
Tiger Meet award - Brightest/wildest paint scheme (all scales) does not have to be a Tiger Meet scheme to qualify
Keith Ferris Award - Best camouflage scheme (all scales)
"There I Was..." Award - Best story

Have fun, spread the word, feedback welcome...

Mike
