I think that Fw 190D-9 on ARC is fantastic!

But I find it strange that the builder was so concerned about getting the camo colors just right and then went against the available evidence (Jerry Crandall's Dora book) and painted the wings in what looks like RLM 76 and 75.
It should have painted RLM 75 and RLM 74, GFW at Kassel built many (but not all) of its Fw 190 D-9s in the older gray colors and even aircraft produced just days before GFW was captured had green late war paint on the fuselages while the wings (which were built elsewhere) were still being painted in the older gray camo colors. Paint was in such short supply near the end of the war that some sub-contractors were forced to use older outdated paint colors to keep the flow of parts moving to the assembly centers, so it was not that unusual to see Fw 190's painted in a mix of the new defensive green colors and the mid war gray colors.

Haha I was only joking guys! I was impressed but I'm not about to give up my only hobby just cos this guy built a PERFECT Me-190L-15.
Ahem! Note the indicator of sarcasm *points upward*? I  WAS JOKING! I'm impressed, yes. I'm going to keep modelling, yes. I'm going to build my Tamiya 1:48 FW-190D-9 OOB, yes.

Hmm, this thread has made me think. Ive got an old 1/32 Hasegawa Fw-190A8, with lots of nice interior details. And so i found it, and broke it up into more manageble parts.
However, since some parts have fallen off, and my skills are not to best, perhaps someone would be interested in helping me repair the model, and do it in a whiff scheme? Sorta like the model on ARC, just with spanish markings?!?  (open to other suggestions for markings)

PM if you are interested, im so far looking for landing gear (main and rear), new interior/engine (although the current can be salvaged), flaps, propeller. Other parts could be useful as well!

Perhaps in future people might want to think twice before posting a 'trying to be funnily sarcastic' comments onto the forum as it will save a lot of time and grief. No one is going to quit because someone has built a superb model of whatever type happens to be flavour of the month at the time. If some blokes want to build and super detail thier models like that then fair play to them I would LOVE to be able to do it, but my skills are nowhere near good enough. Does that mean I am going to give up? Certainly not!! What I will do is try to get my skills to a better standard though.
Besides, these 'thats it I'm giving up!' threads are becoming more than a bit jaded now, especially when it deals with modellers who aren't even a part of our community!
