A few of them are just incredible......what a beast ! Reminds me in some pics of a Tornado. What a sight to see such a large a/c, in full burner, rolling like that. You guys are too lucky.

That's a little like asking someone in Antarctica "is it cold" - it's a good thing the F-111 travels faster than sound at low level because if it didn't, there would be no way to arrive unannounced.  Ah well, the problems with working on an Air Force base...

What a sight to see such a large a/c, in full burner, rolling like that. You guys are too lucky.

Won't see it for too much longer - the RAAF is due to retire the F-111 in about 2 years.  there are already a bunch stripped and lying derelict at the base.
