Some might suggest that War is the final step in diplomacy.  Given that everyone is telling the truth, how would we then expect 'war' to occur?  Diplomats wouldn't be able to hide behind the diplo-speak they use and politicians would have a hard time convincing the populace (assuming the pollies were actually plugged into these things) of a war beyond the most altruistic reasons.  Given that, despots and the like wouldn't exist I assume because they wouldn't be able to generate the conditions for their rise to power.

Oh, and btw, we have an organic computer plugged into the Raptor and Flanker, they're called 'pilots'.

For a starter, military aviation is only 97 years old

Military use of airplanes may be 97 years old, but the use of tethered observation balloons for battlefield reconnaissance dates back to the 1860's and the US Civil War.

So are we assuming an actual loss of knowledge, as opposed to just the end of development and research?

It's like alot of things in our timeline, knowledge does get lost (or atleast rare) when it isn't used often. Look at all the craftsman skills that were once common place but are now rare and even actually lost.

Which skills do you think have been lost? Please elucidate.
