For my "attempt" at a 1WGB I took the quick approach & purchased another Revell 1/100 F-15 Quickit (small consolation prize for passing my FAA written again), with the intention of making it another Aggressor from that unit in Arizona. Here's the progress so far:

Euro-1 primer coat & the infamous "Blue Canopy of Death" (where's the Trademark symbol?). Going to give it a Have Blue camo look & some other aftermarket mods.

OOOh boy ! Might have to borrow that one for the story line !!!!

Depends on when yours takes place ;)

From what little I got off of Google, the 318th FIS got their F-15s in the late '70s & closed their doors around '89 or so. My theory so far is that this unit was reactivated in the mid-90s at Luke AFB in Arizona (or a similar airfield in the southwest/western US) as a AF Reserve unit aimed to provide additional REDAIR service outside of the FWS & Red Flag aggressors based at Nellis (also to get the AF less dependent on the USN Advesary community). This would go one step further when the 318th Aggressors would play an integral part in the newly inaugurated joint-service "Desert Thunder" exercises held annually.

So far I've slapped 2 coats of flat gull gray on & started lookin at camo options:

Oh boy, late 80's-90's? You are talking my speech !  Luke is across the valley from me, but Williams is 1/2 a mile away.

Looking Good! As far as I'm concerned, one can never go wrong with an Eagle.:)

Is there a reason for the Ferret E box that you're not telling us about?
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Reused as my decal box Pud ;)

So far . . . eh?

I'm having 2nd thoughts on the choice of the 3rd color, unfortunatly I'm limited on selection due to my proximity to an LHS (1 1/2 hrs in either direction at least), opinions anyone? Also think the black nose is a bit much.

Thx  Nevster, on 2nd thought I think it'll hang around ;)

Started painting on the stores on this bird, expect a fully loaded yet unique external config. Should have things finalized tomorrow (or something like that :/)

Ok gang hitting a brickwall here, I've got the next color picked out (USMC Green), but I'm completely lost as to what kind of pattern or how big the applied areas are going to be.

Any Ideas? (See post #3 for the current look)

Found a solution to my problem, unfortunatly its a bit late:

Got the first coat of USMC Green on, still have to add the new blue finish to the canopy, add the metalized areas, paint the tailfins, finish the stores. . . yeah I aint gonna make the deadline :-/
