uh oh! I don't know if I HAVE any normal aircraft anymore in 1/48th!

Actually, I've got some that aren't finished yet, I'll pop one beside it and shoot a few pics!

Tophe

QuoteIt's the pod from a P-61, reversed, one boom used to make the tail section (Sorry Tophe, I made a monoboom out of a two boom plane)

You are fully forgiven, Saint-Alvis: you can be sure the P-61 twin-boom kit died happy to give birth to this marvel of yours
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Simply put Alvis, you are a legend!! (as we say here in the antipodes).  I first saw your stuff over on ARC and have been a complete fan since.... simply the best... :D  :D

It's at the local hobby shop now seriously confusing those who think they knew WW II planes..the markings alone are causing serious confusion!

sorry bringing this up , but as you know I am slowly downloading this forum and approximately one in third of topics and models posted here inspire the question of "Why wasn't that really done ?" and Alvis 3.1 has quite a number of things that brings up the question .But I see he is no longer active .Did he change his name or leave the site ?

Left the site. Nobody knows why of where he is. He visits the ARC forums VERY rarely, replying to whiff threads only. He always enters the whiff week on ARC.

Sisko

I think that he is active on starship modeller from time to time.
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

BlackOps

He does post on Starship Modeler, I miss his What -If's, they were always way cool.

I'll let Alvis know that his fantastic work is still receiving the high praise it deserves on this forum.  Thanks r16 for the reminder.  But you had me going for a second there, too: thought the King of Silly-Bashing was back (a lot of his work had a tongue-in-cheek slant to it).
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

I too got caught up in the excitement of the return of our patron saint. I miss him too.

God, how maudlin I sound. To quote Monty Python... "I'm not dead yet"
