Yes, and especially how he has decided to provide anything in 1/48th to me for 'safekeeping' (and to help clear out some room)!

I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Due to my plumbing emergency (the boiler needs replacing and now the frakking electric shower has gone kapput!!) I've had to re-arrange (ie clear) 25% of the loft and re-stash it in the remaining part. The 25% held about 1/3 of my "stash" so I've come across some real beauties...I knew they were "somewhere"... 2 x 1/72nd Monogram F-82s, 1/35th Dragon V-2, Monogram B-25Js, and lots of 1/72nd from when I used to make 1/72nd stuff (before the chageover last year!!) from 20+ years ago. Lovely stuff.
I reckon the stash is now at least 1200+, especially as I've just put 250 UP in the loft from my den.
I'd better continue making some.

Uh, Radish.
Since you aren't building that small scale stuff, would you consider sending some of it to this side of the pond?

Hey, gone back to 1/72nd AND smaller too.
I build ANYTHING now, and found one of my AT walkers...you know the STAR WARS stuff  around 1/16th that'll be great with a snowtrooper I have spare on a diorama. I'm building it TODAY and spraying probably Tuesday night. The "walker" will be Matt White heavily weathered, while the figures will be gloss white but with pretty colours as markings. I might have them from the Nazi Redoubt in Antartica :banghead:

Radish,
I was planning on taking one of the snowspeeders that comes with the AT-AT and detailing it up.  Looks about 1/144 so find a couple pilots, open the windows, open the airbrakes, add the harpoon.  Darned if I can't find the little bugger any more.

Nick,
What in the world do you need with all those Nanzans?
And where do you buy your Airfix kits at (since you are on this side of the pond)?  Noticed the TSR, Nimrod and 3 of the F8s (need a Meteor or 2 for RW projects).  Are you having them shipped from Hannets or do you have a local source in NC?

Phil-

You mean you dont have 8 Nanzans in the stash???  Weirdo!!

To be honest, I got them because they were on special for $1.99 at Squadron.  I figured even if the kit was a pile of poo it was worth $2, but turns out it's jsut what you would expect from Tamiya.  I was thinking build them, use them for parts, or at some point propose a GB where everyone builds the same kit, and give them away for shipping cost.

As for the Airfix stash, a lot came from ebay or picked up on trips to England.  The TSR came courtesy of Nick (the other Nick), one Meteor was picked up for me by Chris (Narses), the others I got directly from Hannants as part of a bigger order, and the Nimrod is a local purchase.  One of my local shops ordered it for me, and actually sold it to me for less than list price (let me have it for about $48 IIRC).  They have started carrying a few Airfixes though, since last time I was in there last week they had a 1/48 Canberra on the shelf.  It would be nice to see more Airfix kits on the shelves over here.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

"Do you "Do you really need all those kits?"

"Do you really need all those shoes?"

The eternal battle continues........ ;D

Now that rings quite true with me, too.  She buys shoes, I buy models.  And both of us buy books, htough on vastly different subjects or fictional genres.

I had to get one of those Nanzans myself, AD! When I saw that and a bagged Roden Albatross D.V for $3.49, it was time to deepen the skid mark on my credit card.
