What if the Vulcan bomber became the standard bomber for the western world?

Here's an idea...

Imagine the Vulcan lasting in operation until the early 21st century in air forces such as UK, France, USA, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, South Africa, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, Iran (both IIAF and IRIAF) Japan, South Korea, South Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arbia, India, Pakistan. Also "captured" enemy aircraft being evaluated in the Soviet Union, China, North, Viet Nam or Cuba. This should be a ball of a GB! ;) Wanna make it bigger, make it a "V-Bomber World GB"! There certainly must be some interesting updates to the V-bombers: Added hump space for new avionics, new pointier nosecone, EW antennas, SRAMs, Tomahawks, anti-shipping missiles, JP233 runway denial pods, etc, etc.

How's about it? ;)

-all kinds of things.

How about NATO moving to a shared air force sooner? This would contain strategic bombers and other stuff that isn't affordable for small countries, but does make sense to have for Europe as a whole...

Hi Mav, haven't seen them but I'm very curious, can you link us to the pege where the 17 are hidden?

You could just look in the Gallery over on the main page.  The Vulcan profiles are just a little way down from the top of the page.  Scroll slowly.
