Perfect Whiff fodder - cheap (£3.99!!!!), few parts, should go together well.  Weapons can be robbed from the Revell kit.  Its got the missing inboard pylons too....

No prizes for guessing what *I* will be doing ;)

Hannants say £3.99 but your links give $24.33 which is about £12 which seems more likely-I think. Although I hope you are correct!

Thanks for the link Nev,

Whilst it's commendable, I have to wonder about its worth if it's $24USD compared to at least the Revell kit as that particular model is available here in Aus for a fairly similar price and I'd have to say would be the superior of the two (especially given the load-out supplied).

At four pounds, that's a much nicer proposition and decidedly more worthwhile, but given all their modern jet 'easy kits' (whether they are or not) are selling for under $30AUD, I'd be surprised that they'd release a cheaper kit of the genre.

Four pounds sound accurate -they retail at $10.99 AUD, and are usually on special at Frontline hobbies for $5.99...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Where are the spats?
For $24, it better have spats!

PW,

I wonder if you're confused with Hobby Boss' WW2 range.  Whilst their 190s, Spitfire & the like retail around those figures, their jets (ie: F-15, F-18, etc) retail nearer the $30AUD mark.

You're right Mav, I saw 'Typhoon' and straightaway was thinking Hawker's ground attack prop driven beasties...
My bad!

And Brian - it DOES have spats! You just have to be more inventive... first you melt down the sprues for plastic, then you pour them into your patented Spat-U-Mold (I assume you have one, and if not, why not?) and then you atatch them. See they ARE included, just not in the right shape

and no, I have not been drinking.

I hate to be the cynic, but I think it will retail at £11.99 along with the other Hobby Boss jets, which will make it more expensive than the RoG offering. If it does retail at £3.99, I'll be at the head of the queue to fill my loft!

Dont know about you guys but the kit appears to be based on the Italeri version of the Eurofighter....

IIRC - The Italeri kit was based on a pre-production machine..... but I could be wrong.

Hey, Nev, did you see that report in the press yesterday that the MoD have approached a number of countries to take surplus Typhoons off their hands - reason being that MoD has run out of pennies and cannot afford the follow-on order (88 airframes) that they had comitted themselves to. Top of the list of countries approached is JAPAN !
