You missed the post title - AVIATION British Forces Heyford Jet Crossing Atlantic That's the bit I was referring to. And they couldn't have found a pic of a Canberra? I think there's a few out there.

The Canberra is on the post card, seen head-on in the circular frank (cancellation mark) and the printed text below the frank and stamp, that is the point of the piece of paper from a philately standpoint, the Heyford was just the image on the postcard.
Not unusual with commemorative covers.

As to how the entry was typed up, add a few commas and it makes sense:
AVIATION, British Forces, Heyford, Jet Crossing Atlantic
