I have nearly finished one of the 2 Esci Kamov Ka-34 Hokums I got cheap from fleabay.
whilst looking at the fuselage and landing gear layout, I thought to myself, I wonder if, I took the engines off, and the stub wings, put some OV-10 Bronco or similar type STOVL wings on it and a pair of A-10 engine pods, and a T tail. The original gun can remain, and where the stub wings were, fit either sidewinder rails, gun pods, fuel tanks or rockets. The wings can also carry ordnance, such as those previously mentioned, and perhaps some ECM, LANTIRN, or pods containing FLIR systems. The aircraft could be fitted with quiet podded turbofans, and can be used as well as for COIN and FAC work, but also coastal patrol, drug interdiction, search and rescue etc.
I was going to make an air superiority version with my other kit, but....I have some spare Bronco wings and A-10 engine pods.

Hi Chris,

Any chance you could post a picture of the unstarted Esci Hokum?  I know the shape is off, but I've always wondered what it looked like.  Anyway yeah, you tease!  Show us some pics!
