What would you say to a Zero22 with spatted undercart ....would it be too "Nate" ??

I say, go for it!!!!

Remember, it's a proven fact that spats increase the coolness factor of any aircraft by 1000%!

You could go with "trousered" landing gear if you want a different look. If you're considering scratch-building your own spats, check out this guide to making your own spats.

ı remember reading Zero was also identified as Adam . Maybe you could claim this was the Allied codename for the spatted Zero.

The Sonias spats will be used,mainly because Im using the Zeros floats on the Sonia..........Why cant life be simple.

Hang-on....... when did you become Dork de Basher - Couldn't be a NATE tho' cos the NATE was a JAAF design, which was developed into the OSCAR, thence the FRANK. The ZERO was continually developed as a design in its' own right.

Good luck with the project, bud, looking forward to seeing you lose patience with it, then strip-it-down, rebuild it as a standard 22, then raid my decal stash for some appropriate markings......... as usual

why not give it the canopy off of say a P-51D/K? that will solve the painting the frame problems.

and for an extra 1% on the coolness factor, make the spats retractable,
