Hi all.  For those interested, here's a couple shots of the Wendover, UT airshow.  It was small, but pretty well done.  The pilots were pretty timid, and kept what I'd call entirely too much distance from the crowd.  But there were some cool birds there:

Idaho National Guard A-10 on static display:

Chinese photo-recon bird (Sorry, I'm not up on some of this stuff):

What I'd call a MiG-15bis, but everyone else was calling a MiG-17 (forgive my ignorance, but I don't think I've seen a pic of a 2-up Mig-17):

RCAF T-33 (the T-33 is a much sharper bird up close than it is in the piccies).  Another T-33 flew that day, and it was a beauty!:

TBD on static display:

Vipers West F-16 demo team out of Hill AFB.  The bird on the right is the one they flew:

I do have some more pics, some not so great.  There was a really pretty B-25, a great little Stearman, your ubiquitous Ah-64.  If  you guys want the rest of it, let me know and I'll post 'em up here.

I will also have an upcoming post of highlights from the airshow out at Grand Junction, CO, which will include the Blue Angels, and the F-15 demo team out of Egland AFB.  The static displays there weren't really great, but there were far more arial attractions.  The Blue Angels were just awesome, as usual.  But I find that F/A-18's are much more interesting while dropping live ordinance along with the aerobatics.

Nice shots, John!  The Chinese bird looks like a Yak-18, or the Nanchang re-pop thereof.  The MiG looks like a -15, but it could be a -17, from that angle.  If I could see from overhead or under, it'd be easier to tell.  No big deal, but your "TBD" is actually a TBF Avenger.  I love the T-33.  Shooting Stars are so cool!

The 2 seat MiG-17 might be a Chinese FT-5. The MiG-17 was never built in a two seat version, but the Chinese version was modified. In fact, this photo looks just like the same aircraft:

John,
Why didn't you post the date for this?  With the Hill show being cancelled I have been looking forward to some of the little local shows but haven't seen any schedules.  Oh well.

Nice pics, I would love to see the rest of what you got.  Looks like the same batch of aircraft that shows up at most of the local shows.

Now the Blue Angels I would love to see again as I haven't seen them fly in person since they got the bugs.  Wish Hill would get them in one year as I have seen the T-birds so many times.

Nice work ! That T-bird is just awesome, for some strange reason.....

I'd like to see the other pics as well, as I'm wondering what the second T-bird looked like !

That 2 seat Mig=15 is one of the fugliest planes I've ever seen!!

Nice Pics!

The two seat MiG jet looks more like a 15 than a 17 to me (doesn't look big enough to be a 17)

If not a MiG-15 proper, it could be a Polish built equivalent , Lim-6 IIRC, I know some of those made it into civilian hands
