I'm in the process of having a uge sort out at home and have found a file box with nearly all my Hannants invoices in since I started using their on-line service some 7/8 years ago. Why did I keep them ? Probably because at work there was a legal requirement to keep financial documents.

Any way we digress - the question is

1) Should I add them up and scare myself crapless ?

2) Let sleeping dogs lie ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Methinks, Chris, that you've already secretly answered this question y'self...... however in the unlikely event that I'm wrong, here's my advice:-

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

For insurance purposes, it would be beneficial to have a full accounting to show your agent in the unlikely event something happens.

However, I would advise against any significant other ever seeing that total.

And you may want to be sitting down when you see how much money could have been spent on other things like bills, trips, twiglets, beer, etc.

I'm in a similar position, Chris. Perhaps it's the result of being an organiser and a ready person for keeping things in files.
Anyway....I'm going to burn mine as Steve says.
Good advice.

It might be fun to look at the oldest ones just to see how cheaply you were buying kits back then, but beyond that...well here there be dragons...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I think we are all of a like mind  ;D

I will keep them because to paraphrase Phillip " you never know when you may need them", but the calculator stays away  ;D
