Hey look! Even I finish things sometimes

If memory serves me right, the Focke Wulf "Flitzer" project was abandoned because it wasn't fast enough, with a projected top speed not that much faster than an Me 262. It was still pretty fast and had a pretty good rate of climb especially if fitted with a butt-rocket and used only one precious turbine engine at a time, so plans, toolings, and subassemblies were sent to Japan in a care package.  And the rest is history...

This weekender is ROG's 1/72 flitzer with aeromaster(?) decals. I was going to throw on some dullcote before taking pictures but I like how it looks shiny and future'd up.

That's just killer, Goober! I really like your work on the paint chipping! Looks like this "Leroy" has seen some action!

B-29's beware. . .

Very nice job on the paint chipping.  I think that's often grossly overdone.

Niiiiiiice!  Looks good in those colours.

Recently acquired a Flitzer for WhIf purposes as well. Only need to get some Macchi for the decals...

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Absolutely well conceived and executed

NICE!   Good job on the finish and weathering.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Interesting effect on this one - the combination of heavy paint wear, but a shiny finish, makes for a unique look. Like the ground crew has run out of paint, but they've been polishing like mad to keep her looking good.
