These are photos of ship models in the Russian Navy museum. Some I've seen before (e.g. the full-size aircraft carrier they were planning), but some are new to me (there's a catamaran helicopter carrier, for instance).

I expect those are the YaK-44s. There was one built, or at least a full-scale mock-up constructed.

The problem with catamarans as carriers is the lack of hull depth. The only ways to create a hangar are either a very high superstructure, raising the CoG, or very wide hulls, which isn't beneficial to cataman's performance.

Nice ideas for models there.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
