With the trench warfare stalemate in France in 1944 and the sudden and unexpected collapse of the Stalin regime following the catstrophe at Kursk, the Nazis regained some of their vitality, putting a number of advanced aircraft into service-decimating allied bomber squadrons. The impetus was on to throw allied jets into service. The Hawker Fury was hastily developed into a jet and though there were handling issues due to the low set tail it proved to be a stepping stone to better things...

As a footnote it has recently been revealed that the massive explosion and loss of life at Los Alamos put back the development of the atom bomb by several years...there was no mention of this at the time...

I've seen pictures of a Sea Hawk with Tempest wings but this with the Fury tail works even better, nicely done

Great work!  I did a very similar Sea Hawk profile a little while back, the conversion to the earlier jet tempest is great!

What's the red & yellow marking on the nose?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Very good idea and realization

I've liked the idea of one of these ever since I saw it in BSP - Fighters. Nicely realised and a good back story too: well done!

Good one, Van - the low tail adds interest.
