Nose or Chin intake Hunter

Both of those look very buildable!

Nice!

Best plan to build either of those would be to use the wings from something else, like the Super-Mystere/F-86 nose-donor (the G-91 wings would probably be too small). Trying to take the intakes out of the Hunter wings would be a bit of a chore (and yes, that is British understatement...). Maybe you could "Hunterify" the donor wings by grafting the Hunter's distinctive wingtips onto them.

Ooh, now there's an idea for you Ysi: a Hunter fuselage with an early MiG-21 nose. Wings could be either swept (MiG-19?) or delta from the MiG-21.

The Wooksta!

The original Hunter design had a nose intake and after they built the mock up they realised that the cockpit would be very snug so moved the intakes to the wing roots.  Neither of the options above are remotely feasible.

And I've done the early Hunter.  Mastered, moulded, cast and built.

The fuselage would have to be deeper to allow the intake duct to go under the cockpit like the A-7 or wider to allow it to split and go around either side. Or raise the cockpit up higher. Not really workable but I still say the F-86 nose looks cool!

Early Hunter design proposals (Hawker P.1067) featured a nose intake.  The Wooksta has modelled at least one and there's pics on this furum.
