In the Luchtvaart Hobby Shop in Aalsmerderbrug, the Netherlands: Sale of thousands of incomplete scale modelling kits, parts, decals, magazins etc etc. Everything must go!
Doors open at 10 am. No previews, no reservations. First come first served.

Thought this would be something to share with the members, especially those members that are living near this event.  Might be a great way to stock up on spare parts for your future WHIF or Real Life projects.

I have just had a right good look at their website, I think hiring a van and getting a bank loan is in order for that place, they sell all sorts.
Why can't we have somwhere like this place here in crappy Blighty.

Its located near the International airport of Amsterdam. Not too expensive catching a flight there actually

Very tempting! Would be good to spend the weekend there but the Huddersfield show is on the 15th plus it will be Valentines Day so flights will be expensive.

You have to love their timing though. A huge kit sale on Valentines Day? Or is it not a 'traditional' day of love in the Netherlands?

Hmm, would anyone on that side of the Pond be willing to act as a purchasing agent for those of us who can't afford transatlantic fares?

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I'm here, just haven't decided if I'll go yet. Barn sales aren't my favorite place to be. If I go, I'll give a heads-up around Feb 7th.

The 14th February? That's a pretty rum day to have any sort of a sale, apart from chocolates and flowers etc.

Mind you, the Luchtvaart is very tempting, I spent about 3/4 day in there en route home to UK in November, cost me a bomb, but thank goodness for pension lump sums. :)

We have got a place like that in UK, but it's so far East it's almost in Holland anyway. Hannants Hangar in Oulton Broad is about the same size, and probably has more stock. It's just not as smart or as well presented as the Luchvaart Shop.
