Finally saw one of these in a hobby shop the other day and just had to have it. Yes it does have the downside of having zero external stores but the method of construction is interesting and the detail levels are pretty good.

Main construction is two pieces, top fuselage and bottome fuse, wings and tailplane all one piece. What I do like is the way the cockpit mounts on the lower fuselage, nosewheel well panel and plugs in from underneath. The cockpits are fairly low on detail with large gaps around the side consoles, so I am busily extending them out and back to fill them in, a process aided by being able to easily test fit the assembly over and over.

To add detail I have a Verlinden 1/72 Hornet update set that looks like will fit the consoles, instrument panels and seats with minimal fettling. Has a Harpoon as well.....

Leaning towards gloss white and orange ARDU trials markings with TSPI pods and JASSM's (or some other weapon under test like JDAM's( if I can mock some up from the pictures I took at the last RAAF Edinburgh airshow....

Cheers
