Played the PC game. Countless times. Loved it every time!

There are some very cool designs and I'd love to build some of them. Gotta acquire some serious scratch-building skillz first, though.

And then there's this project spookin' around in my head involving the TABLETOP PLANES and a Revell zepppelin (or two)....

Ohh yes, one of my favourites. I keep meaning to try and build a couple of the aircraft - the twin-boomers (the Kestrel and the other one - can't remember the name) and the pusher-prop delta that the Hollywood Knights have. Waaaaaay cool game. ;D
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Well, I suggest very gentle massage and... oh... Saw the thread title "Crimson Akies" and thought perhaps you had a bicycle accident and dinged the family jewels on the crossbar, sorry.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Nice thing about whiffing Crimson Skies is that a lot of the aircraft are taken from, or slightly modified from, "real" designs (mostly Luft '46 stuff).

Some examples (forgive me if I get the game names wrong; it's been a while since I played):

the Colt Peacemaker is based on the Blohm & Voss P.170:

the Hughes Bloodhawk is based on the Henschel P.75:

a Bell design whose name escapes me is also based on a Blohm & Voss design, the P.207-02:

The RPG has many more designs like this.

My favorite is the Brigand.

Still think it looks like an A-10.

Ahh, Crimson Skies! My favourite was the Fury, mainly due to the honking big guns.

Yep, fun game.  You can actually get "models" of some of the aircraft from the board game.
