Hi Guys,
Have this 144th scale Airfix kit done up to the point of painting. Originally wanted to do her in the standard 707 colours, kind of a "little brother". Then thought, maybe the Navy wanted their own transport to move men/ materials from coast to coast, instead of relying on rail or the RCAF ? Then I recalled the old blue-striped Boxcars that the EWU had....and then the contemplated camo for the 707s serving in Europe. So, I decided to stop myself before I dreamt up any more, and turn it over to you !

Tough call. I'd say the first one looks more colorfull.

I like 2 & 3, that Canadian double lightning stripe is the business!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Although the RCN scheme would be different, I think either of 2 or 3 would be easier to do, decals can be got for either ---

I know it's not helping, but it needs the traditional red and white stripe scheme with white fuselage top,
Or if its to be in Europe it should be that overall green with low viz as per the Starfighters.
But if its supposed to be the Canadian Navy, can I suggest medium sea grey undersides and dark sea grey top?
With a red/orange band on the rear fuselage.

Regards
Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Captain Canada

Thanks guys ! Clear as mud now  Keith, thanks for the input, but it sounds like you didn't see the pic I attached ?

Pretty close voting so far. If it stays this tight, I might just do a modified RCAF type. Use the blue fuselage ECM unit flash with the paint scheme of the 707, only with the red tail

Do the RCN one as an MPA to replace the Argus, so a Posiedon using the earlier 737 model ;)

Thanks again for the input guys. looks like the RCN bird is winning by a landslide !  An MPA a/c does sound interesting....lumps and bumps are always good !

Your EWU scheme gave me an idea Todd, a 737-800 with the side cheeks from a RC-135.  Poor-Mans Rivet Joint perhaps ----

Started on the paint. Modified the orange a bit from the above drawing. I always just paint as I go....might add a bit more orange to the wings.
