I was in the neighbour's wedding last summer, and  got to talking with one of his Uncles from across the pond. Turns out he was a Vulcan crewman. Flash forward a few weeks back, and via the post he hands me the Vulcan special from Flypast. Read that from cover to cover. Then my brother read it and we got to talking. Then we got drunk, and I agreed to build him one to hang in his house. Now, I know I said I'd finish something before I started anything....but this time it's different. I was drunk when I agreed to it.

Way to go Cappy. I love making those deals. It's a real way to tell some one who served, thanks for letting us keep drinking beer instead of vodka. It's a good thing you are doing mate, but then, do we expect anything less of you?

A while since I built a Vulcan, my plans for the one in my stash are real world too, probably one of the later Black Buck missions.  Looking forward to seeing it!

That first pic got me thinking - I wonder how one would go scaling back a 1/72 Vulcan into a 1/48 two seat strike aircraft?
