The 2006 old topic was http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,8921.0r.html
Here I start again to finish it, I hope, in 2009...
This Twin-Buffalo will be asymmetric, with the starboard half aesthetically improved
(like the C-7114 and XP-77Z featured in my what-if collection at http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/thankingIgor.htm )
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

The Siamese twin-brothers are progressing...
Yes, this will be a T-tail-wing-tandem half-biplane. Something even our JHM may have never dreamed of
I hope I will complete it in 2009 (there is no room available in the psychiatric sanitarium, so I am still at home) ;D

And there was me thinking this was going to be a Japanese F-2 ;)

Absolutely delightful, Tophe! I especially like the aesthetically improved starboard side! You always 'take it to the next level' with your unique concepts!

Oh No...they just bombed Tokyo-Go Go Tophe-zilla !

Nice work ! I really like that first profile pic of the nose from the old thread...really has that 'human' look to it !

Great to see you building again, Tophe !

You are correct----this is beyond my imagination (until now, that is).
This is a bold modification you're making, Tophe.  My chapeau is off to you, Sir.

(And here is the result, sooner than expected, just before leaving for vacations)
From two Brewster F2A-1 Buffalo(s) was born the Siamese-twin-brothers F2A-11.
The starboard brother (or sister?) is thinned and elongated, for beauty from barrel-shape.
There is no gun, nor engine, nor propeller, nor undercarriage (this was not a viable child, poor Twin-Buffalo )

Its a Jedi fighter. It uses the force

Cool, Tophe.  What would have been the planned role for this little airplane if it had been "viable"???

Wow!  :o  Nice use of the second pair of wings!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Tophe

Thanks for the comments!
The role for me is demonstrating in a beauty contest: gorgeous & ugly twin-sisters.
For military people, it would be radar (nose & operator) beside the fighter, + biplane wing for highest maneuvrability

Is it my imagination, or does the starboard fyuse look like an Me-262?

Outstanding work, Tophe!

(Belated answer, coming back from holydays)
I judge the Me 262 as very beautiful, so when I try to turn an ugly-plane into a beauty, maybe I turned it a little 262... Are you psychotherapist, Brian, trying to discover some secret motivations? Funny, a mix of what-if spirit and Sigmund Freud... (but according to my conscious mind, this 262 love is not sexual I swear ;D Dr. Sigmund would answer: what-if it is actually but refused by the mind?...)
