Now that Twin Vampire is right up my street! Fantastic sideways thinking.

I note you have used only the inboard main u/c legs and small balancers under the booms, is that right? And how are the inner intakes arranged, the underside pic is a tad small to determine that.

Where did the wings come from too?

The main inboard u/c was from the airfix Hawk, and the small balancers under the  (extended ) booms were scratch built.
The wing centre section, and the extended tips were scratch built.
I will see what I can do about that photo.

One inovation it had, typically DeHavilland, was that it has no ailerons, just differential, uppersurface, spoilers.

....and Kit, you are still to blame, as this one was right on the heels of the fun I had doing the Skyhawk!!

Ahah, now I see the inboard intakes, very neat, and de Havilland-ish too.

Going back to your thoughts on a FOD guard for the air racing Kelpies. They used a retractable wire mesh screen which was deployed when the u/c was lowered.
Cessna later copied the idea for the A-37 Dragonfly.
