LSR Aerosan

There simply must be a LSR sled of some kind for either ice or snow.   After all, I grew up in the frigid north and knew about Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, and Polaris long before I'd ever heard of Harley Davidson, Yamaha, or Kawasaki.   


Gotta think a bit about the base kit from which to create an Aerosan.

Not sure what an LSR Aerosan is but there are 1/72 & 1/35 kits out there for Aerosan ( Russian) . PM me with more details and I may be able to help

Was looking through my Great Scale Modeling 2009 that I picked up yesterday and there is a pic from the IPMS Nats of a Nazi Surf Wagon that was entered in the Humor section (I think).  He added a "waverunner" made from a Schwimmwagen.  Might be a good starting place for your Aerosan or some other small vehicle (Kubelwagen, Jeep, Mini Cooper, etc).

I've already picked one up of course. 

So for an LSR Aerosan, leave off the track assemblies (which are sure to come in useful for something else ),
maybe swap the driver and engine positions and have the engine driving a contra-rotating fan assembly or perhaps a
podded jet instead of the V-8 and fan.
