There simply must be a LSR sled of some kind for either ice or snow.   After all, I grew up in the frigid north and knew about Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, and Polaris long before I'd ever heard of Harley Davidson, Yamaha, or Kawasaki.   ;D

Gotta think a bit about the base kit from which to create an Aerosan.

Edit:   Withdrawn.....I want to use the belly pod for the Monogram B-58 elsewhere....

Not sure what an LSR Aerosan is but there are 1/72 & 1/35 kits out there for Aerosan ( Russian) . PM me with more details and I may be able to help

Daryl,
Was looking through my Great Scale Modeling 2009 that I picked up yesterday and there is a pic from the IPMS Nats of a Nazi Surf Wagon that was entered in the Humor section (I think).  He added a "waverunner" made from a Schwimmwagen.  Might be a good starting place for your Aerosan or some other small vehicle (Kubelwagen, Jeep, Mini Cooper, etc).

Daryl,
the old 1/20th MPC Rupp Super Sno-Sport snowmobile dragster kit has recently been re-released.

I've already picked one up of course.  ;D

So for an LSR Aerosan, leave off the track assemblies (which are sure to come in useful for something else ;D ),
maybe swap the driver and engine positions and have the engine driving a contra-rotating fan assembly or perhaps a
podded jet instead of the V-8 and fan.
