Sometimes there is just extraordinary customer service.

Tonight my wife called to let me know that some guy had left a message today at our house regarding something he didn't like and had moulded.  She then played the message for me and it was Darren Roberts of Steel Beaches leaving a message that he was redoing the F-14 noses and replacing them as the original castings had a fit problem.    He'd called Gordon Kwan @ Spruebrothers so he could get ahold of each customer who'd purchased the castings and personally contacted each to let us know to expect something in the mail in the next couple of weeks.

Is that above and beyond or what?

And I have a plan for at least one of those 'bad' noses, and should the project go as intended, he'll get credit on that build.

Daryl J., quite impressed.

That is how it should be done . . . He'd get an A++ in my Management class!

Occasionally you come across a company that goes far above and beyond for their customers. This guy sounds like one of them.

Good on you !!!!  Yeah, I had a similar experience yesterday with a shop I have been buying from since I was 14 (hey, that's a long time). I called in October to ask about buying 20-30 1/72nd Revell Albatross's for my carrier project. Never heard a beep out of them until they called in the afternoon (3 months plus?) to tell me they had Three of the kits in, so I needed to come in and pick them up. WTF?  I told them I was asking about 30, not three, and wanted pricing prior to ordering. The salesperson got all sorts of pissed off, and told me not to bother, but if I ever ordered from them again, I would have to pay up front. Yeah, right.
Yet another hobby shop down the tubes for me. (ten bucks per kit? c'mon)
