Now this begs the question of what is normaly located in that part of the airframe?
If its fuel tanks the range must have been cut by quite a margin.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Primarily avionics equipment and related, the main fuel tank is beneath the cockpit.

Hmm, there's even a cutaway drawing of the "passenger version":



Apparently there were no tanks in that section, but lots of other equipment and contral cables that had to be re-routed somehow.
