Wow, it feels like ages since I've been here. It's been a long winter (I haven't wanted to start anything because it's been way too cold to paint. Hopefully I can be more prolific once spring arrives).

So I'm thinking of doing a NSAWC F-14 in an alternative scheme, but I can't decide which one to go with. Here are the options:

Number One:

Number Two:

Number Three:

I may also try one of these on an F-18, so at least two of these schemes will see the light of day.

Thoughts?

How did the country lose its way...when did we stop rooting for the man with a flame-thrower or an acid-spraying gun of some kind?

I have always loved that 2nd scheme, would look great on a Tomcat (hell they all would!)

The first one and the green and yellow both kick major arse

Get a third kit!  ;D

Nah, really, too hard to decide. They all look equally great.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I'm thinking of number two for the F-14, since it's a two-seat Sukhoi. The Hornet will probably end up number one.

I like the green and yellow, but that would work on either aircraft.

Grab an F-16 & do a an N model in number 3! ;D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Green and yellow all the way.  I'm a fan of that blue flanker scheme, but it has been done nearly to death.

I have A Combat aircraft with that Yellow Flanker and it is a very vivid almost "day-glo" scheme. Might just be because of the snow background, but I felt like i needed shades it was so bright! Cool scheme though Would look good on anything.

The colour scheme on that first pic is going to get put on an L-39 I am currently doing. I will hand paint it though as the airbrush keeps spitting its dummy when ever I try to do a detailed paint job. I really like these non-run of the mill paint jobs.
