You may recall some talk a while ago about modernising a SEEP (Ford amphibious jeep from ww2) to about Vietnam era standards for use with the STMC (San Tortan Marine Corps) as thier basic light utility vehicle. Well, since I've finished my latest SSM kitbash challenge build, I started on the seep this morning. Not much done yet, the wheels are assembled, the axels are on and the propellor shaft is on. I'll be fitting atleast two machine guns taken from an Israeli jeep (Academy kit) and building it in an 'action' setting diorama (ie: at sea!)

More progress on the SEEP. Got the interior mostly done (and the first modification to the stock kit - fitted the radio from the Academy M151 kit into the dash). Most of the interior also done, and started fiddling with the figures. Combination of Tamiya Vietnam era Marines and Academy Humvee crew so far.
And there will be fishing rods.

Enough teasing.  Where's the pictures?  I'd like to see this one.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Like I said, nothing really worth posting.
Until now.
I've built the two figures (although I have been thinking about possibly adding a third, just don't really have anything usable). One is a tamiya fig from the set with a german gun crewman's arm for the right pose. The other is from the Tamiya field breifing vietnam era set, with arms taken from another member of that set.
I've added the Israeli radio to the dash and will be adding whip aerial. I've added two MGs from the same kit fore and aft, and I will be adding the roll-cage.

Roll cage, fishing rod holders and proto-rods added along with some other detail parts.
Pics tonight (probably) since it's basically ready for paint.

The seep is now basically finished (needs a few more paint touches and the headlights need to be installed), so it's on to the base which will be somewhat more complex. It'll also be slightly delayed as I have to buy and cut the MDF before I can sculpt the polystyrene and add details.
And with that mysterious explanation to perplex you, here's some pics of the seep:

Is your driver consuming some of that world famous San Torta Banana Beer?

How did you create your fishing poles?  Need better images of the entire pole with reel attached and fish on the line :^)

Thin, bent plastic rods. I have yet to build the reels and lines.
