Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any 1/72 scale 4/5/6-bladed props going spare. All I seem to have are 3/4 blade ones.

Also looking for some Astazou turboprops as featured on the Jetstream & Pucara if anyone has any spare, though I realise that it isn't likely.

Don't know precisely how this works but I have plenty of decals I'm never going to use to offer in return and a box full of dumb bombs both 1/72 & 1/48 scale so if anyone is interested, let me know.

Thanks.

Thorvic

Try Aeroclub, they do metal props for the Puccara and have a wide variety of props from varios eras and with a variety of blades.

If you don't find anything here you might want to contact Aeroclub, they have a huge selection of props.  Here's a couple of five bladed ones you can get, the smaller one comes from the Short Sherpa kit and you have to ask for them as they are not listed on their website.  They also have six blade contra props for the Spitfire.

Edit:  :banghead:  Geoff beat me to it, Aeroclub have two sets for the Astazou, one set is just two props and the other set is one prop with one engine nacelle front.  If you want an Astazou you need to find an M&E Models Jetstream T.1/2 conversion ( see my Beagle Terrier thread in Trainers with Teeth GB)
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

OOOOooooOOOOoooo. Thank you both for the quick replies. I was hoping for a straight swap as I just, rather unwisely, blew all my £ but I'll definately keep Aeroclub in mind when my boat comes in (fingers crossed it doesn't hit any rocks!).

You'll be lucky!

They're as rare as rocking horse stuff, not seen one for years now. I have one, just one, and I've been looking for ages. It's a pity Airfix moulded their Jetstream with the Garrets, but at the time they were on a 'Hard sell to the USA' kick. The Astazous are by far a better looking engine, and I must admit I hadn't thought of a Pucara, hmmmmmm.......

Agreed regarding the Astazous, definately a distinctive look. The Garretts lack character in comparison.

Ah well, another pucara it is then.......

In that case, I still need a generic 5/6-bladed prop for a F4U project and two 4-bladed props for a twin-engined bomber project, both 1/72. Anyone have any spares they are willing to part with?
