Monochrome in Japan have reissued the Trumpeter 1/72nd Lightning F.6/F-2A with two RAF decal options and also JASDF Lightning F.6 no.711 of 203 Hikotai! Saw it on Aero Scale yesterday, in box review by Andy Brazier. http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=3921

Think I may use this idea on my Matchbox F.6 or T55.

I love it!

What with this and the Xtradecal TSR2 sets we're spreading our 'fluence into the 'normal' (whatever that is...) modelling world. How long before Revellfixagawajimi produce Whiffs as part of their normal production programmes?

Ah, some already did of course, the Italeri/Revell F-19 etc.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Hasegawa has offered the unbuilt jet version of the Shinden for years in 1/72 and just recently in 1/48.
They've also sold the regular Shinden in 'What-if' Tokyo Defense markings in both scales.

Think they got the idea off Nev!  Good to see!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

An EE Lightning in Japanese livery?

Hmm....

How about an alt. hist. where it is Imperial England and Imperial Japan allied against all those peasants and their democracies!

:)
