Tom, did you ever succeed in building these? I'm considering including 2 WASP pods in an upcoming project.

For the launch pod in 1/72nd scale it might be wise to take a look at one of the rocket pods from the old 1/32nd scale Revell Harrier kit.  That kit had a pair of 70mm rocket pods with rounded fairings that might be just about the right length and diameter for your 1/72nd scale AGM-124 Wasp missile project.  I was thinking that the Matra pods from the 1/24th scale Airfix Harrier kit might be a good starting point for a 1/48th scale version but they would be a bit too small in diameter.  There are also some seven shot rocket pods included in the 1/24th scale Monogram UH-1 Huey helicopter kit that might be useful for this project.  They are certainly long enough and the diameter is about right.
