The Wooksta!

They're only applicable to Valiants, well, early Victors and Vulcans, but they're not easy to get and come to that, neither's the Airfix Valiant either, but still.

You can only get them through Hannants - Neil Gaunt is a bit... eccentric?  and won't deal direct with Joe Public.  Not that I blame him.

Remember that British nuclear weapons had separate names for the 'bomb shape' and the 'physics package'.

Violet Club, deployed only on Vulcans from 1958-1960 was a Blue Danube bomb shape with a 'Green Grass' physics package (the infamous Heath Robinson affair with a gazillion ball bearings in the middle as a safety mechanism  :o ).

Yellow Sun Mk.1 was the Yellow Sun bomb shape with the same Green Grass physics package as Violet Club. Some of them were transferred over from Violet Clubs, while others were built from new. These lasted in Service until 1963 and a far as I know, were used on Vulcans and maybe Victors.

Yellow Sun Mk.2 was the Yellow Sun bomb shape with the much smaller and lighter Red Snow physics package, which was the US Mk.28 design built in the UK with British fissile material. These served from 1961 to 1966, and were almost certainly used on Vulcan B.2s and Victor B.2s.

Well you can get this set from Belcher Bits  (notice the price, and that's C$ too)

That Belcher Bits set looks a positive bargain in comparison. And the instruction sheet is a mine of information too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I think I'd got for the Belcher Bits one too as it looks a bit more comprehensive and you get stuff to hang under other things.

Red Beard can be hung under Hunters - I've seen a drawing with one on the outer pylon, although this may well have been a GA11 in the training role.

There's a thing - were Hunters cleared to carry WE177s?
