There's only two seats I can see, that's not the Backfire C you're building, is it Chris?  Scaled beside the Cannberra she looks a little small too, almost like a low-wing fixed-wing Fencer or something.  If it is, then man, they really Did screw up the details for a Backfire on that model.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

Yes the plane behind the Canberra is a 72nd scale Backfire, it is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures as the paint scheme I have put on it distorts the shape of it. I will do some pics of it when I finally get round to finishing it, as I have been taking my time with it. As for the Canberra, I will be weathering it to within an inch of its life thats for sure!!
Cheers,
Chris.

Put me down as another who loves the end plates on the tail!

Here  is the Canberra in scruffy, neglected and never cleaned mode. Now with added weapons.
I am still not decided on the weathering, as I might clean it down a bit. Anyhow here it is.

Cheers,
Chris.

I filled the nose with lead, and it still wont sit properly, I will have to make it some blu-tac chocks

Cans are like that I'm afraid. No matter HOW much lead you load in, you always need more.

Someone should make lead engine intakes for them, they'd sell like hot cakes.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I really like the worn look you've given this Canberra and the triple tail is icing on the cake!

Awesome load-out.  Is that an integrated landing/searchlight in the port wingtip's fueltank (if it is a fueltank)?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

chrisonord

Hello JHM,
Yep thats an integrated search/landing light in one of the new auxiliary fuel tanks.
I have a load of other stuff that I wanted to put on the Canberra, torpedo's, surveillance pod sea skuas etc etc.
I will do some more pics with an alternative loadout set out around it.
When I can be bothered that is

Chris, it may just be the angle, but it looks to have delta wing and tail rather than a VG wing - am I correct?

Greg

Hya Greg, the wings are swept right back, just so the thing will fit on the shelf.
I suppose I should do some pictures of the Backfire, just to quell the curiosity. I know what is happening here, you are after my new Cartel splinter paint job aren't you eh?
