Hi,
any ideas of Free Texas AF marking? Perhaps just a white star in blue field, like USAF in early WW2...
I plan to build a Skyhawk of Texas war of independence, in camouflage similar to Free Kuwait

Here's what I did...

Here's a link to my Texas Mirage build with more pics...

To make the roundels, I used a French roundel plus a smaller USAF roundel minus the bars.  The TX flag on the fin was carefully made from scrap pieces of red, blue & white decal plus a white star from a Bicentennial scheme aircraft.  Basically, scrounge through your spare decals and see what you can come up with.  If I was to do a WWII era Texas aircraft, I would use a larger French roundel (perhaps with a yellow surround) plus a smaller US star for the center.  Hope this helps.

 and happy modeling, Bryan

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Nonononono (echoing my wife talking to our little twins), you've gotta consider this:

Big red roundel, big white roundel inside that, and a blue BBQ smack dab in the middle!!!    Kill markings are BBQ sauce bottles.

No yellow rose? Other than that I really agree with that scheme for the Republic of Texas.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
