The Radar is Huge for a ship that size !!!

AFAIK it was a salvaged IJN destroyer refitted for JMSDF use

From a Whif point of view it would be interesting what other survivors could be used in a similar fashion ?, especially as Pitroad now do the early JMSDF detail set.

I had contemplated doing an early postwar JMSDF destroyer using a Hasegawa Kasumi, but none of the class survived the war.

I love the 'B' sprue that's included with this one.

They do the sprue as a seperate addon set

Imagine the radar on a light cruiser or maybe even a heavy cruiser, along with US AA guns and possibly main armament.

If they did a new 1/144 Victor, that'd be something.
Sometimes wishes come true!

According to Kampfrgruppe144 (LINK), Pit-Road (LINK) will follow their 1/144 TSR.2 and Vulcan (both also released by Great Wall Hobby) with a Handley Page Victor!

Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

With Micro-Mir doing a 1/144 Valiant shortly that's the V-force in 1/144

Pit-road is releasing the Kawasaki P-1 in 1/144:

(typical: I'm halfway done with a Fox One P-1).

Dizzyfugu

That could become a nice mid-sized short-/mid-range passenger aircraft!  ;D  Probably hellish expensive, though.

Hobbes

It's about the size of the Airbus A318.

Hmm, looks like a good basis for anEP-1 ELINT aircraft.

That would be a fun one to build. The 4 engines are just too cool. The P-8 is alright, if you like a 737 with painted over windows
