USAF´46. CORNELIUS XFG J. BIRD OF PREY

The jet version of Cornelius XFG, comes from the original fuelglider -XFG-1-, that flew on 11st Oct. of 1944.

It reminds me to "Klingon bird of prey".

That's really cool Paco and sure does remind me of a Klingon Bird of Prey too! I really like the placement of the engines, blunt nose and forward-swept wings which must be hitting one of the What-If Trifectas. Excellent work!

First, thank you very much everybody.

Yes, the interest of this model is based primarily on its rarity. The only kit i know is the Vacuuformed of the german manufacturer AIRMODEL. The engines come from a Junkers Ju 287 of Huma Models.

Oh yes, the XB-53 was very similar, and i like it too, but the most curious of the real Cornelius XFG was its nature: a glider plane without any engine, that transporting fuel.
