That looks terrific Allan, and I love the subtle, faded, dusty look you've achieved.

As for a name, whats "push-me, pull-you" in Japanese? ;)

As far as a name, is there a japanese name for "ant-eater" ?

Fantastic wind up, there.  Looks completely at home on your shelf.

>I'm not even sure I'm prepared to take this model to my hobby club meeting as there's so much that could get snapped off in the car on the way. Must think carefully about this.<

Since most of the delicate fiddly bits are on the bottom, think of transporting it upside down. I might suggest a small box with airfoil cut-outs for the wings and half-round scoop-outs for the fuselage; a box that would support the right wing (with the radar antenna on top) mid-way out, thus an asymmetrical layout for the fuselage cut-outs. Pad the support parts of the box with soft wash-cloths or something. The result should be the upside-down Anteater protruding from all sides of the box, but supported and swaddled so that no movement or damage occurs. Hopefully you won't have too rough a ride over pothole-strewn roads.

This HAS to been seen at your local model group's meeting!! FIND A WAY to get it there!

Dunno, but here is a YouTube video of a "famous" Japanese anteater that has made headlines in Japan:

Maybe if you listen close you can make out what it is called by context. It's name is "Tae".
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

It's "Arikuri"!!!

Listening to the Japanese broadcast of the escape (previous post), I picked out "Arikuri Tae" a couple of times! BINGO!!

Allan, It's great to see this one make it to the finish line, I know you had some doubts along the way but the end result speaks for itself!
Awesome build!

That looks great, Allan - the weathering toned down the colors quite a bit. I love the pictures with the ? leaves in the background. They give the pictures an extra Japanese feel to them.

Nice stuff Alan!

Bet you are glad to see this long running project come to an end!
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

An absolute wizard build, Allan! Your weathering looks great and the paintwork beneath it is truly superb! Don't be too surprised if you take home a ribbon or trophy or two should your beautiful 335 grace the table at a show!

It's been a long time coming Alan, but more than worth the wait!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Nicely done Allan, can't wait to see at the comp! Will this make the competition tables or be in the Whif display?

Got to get to finishing the Washington R4 this week!
