Rather than ferkling around in a drawer to get some, I've decided to start putting some in each model box. This way it's at hand immediately, no searching. This is probably more than I'll need, but it is the Frog/Novo Attacker, so I might have underestimated!

Depends on what you're planning on doing to the Attacker.  Blank off the intakes and make a basic cockpit - think you've got enough there.

Might try to redo the landing gear this time, and that will require thinner gear doors. Still won't need this much, but it will be there.

I'd suggest replacing the cartoonish balloon canopy but I'm not sure of a suitable replacement, other than a dedicated vacform one.  Falcon do one, but it's on one of their larger sets.  People say they're expensive, especially if you only want the one canopy.

You'd still need a suitable belly tank and there isn't a replacement.  There's quite a few other things wrong with the base kit too - the tail is too high, the tailplanes too short and the intakes too far back.  That's why I just do in flight ones these days - make them look decent and shiny and people ignore the other faults.

How close is a Swift FR5 belly tank to one for an Attacker?

They're about the same shape but some years apart of course, and there could be a size issue too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Swift one seems to be more bulged at the front.  And try getting them at the minute now - I don't think Colin has any in stock.

I dunno, I just keep my plastic sheet in one location. When you cut up a sheet like this you end up with lots of scrap because you tend to cut off more than you need.

The canopy is thick enough that if I wanted to go to all the work of sanding it down and polishing it then it might look more respectable, but I'll probably not bother. If I can find a 3-view I'll see about revising the tailplane issues.
