For a Whif modeller the Series of Books by John Birmingham Weapons of Choice, Designated Targets and Final Impact, designated World War 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 respectively are a wealth of gold pressed latinum for Whiffing modellers.
I know these books have been discussed here before, but the concept is a Carrier Battle group from 2021 gets time transported back to WW2 but some of the ships end up in Japanese, German and Russian hands... with appropriate changes to history and access to technology for all concerned

So if you try and work out what aerodynamic advances would be simple to achieve using 1940's technology and existing industry.

I give you the FW190ZT (Zukünftige Technologie)

I figure that the X4 missiles, semi swept wings and contra-rotating props, all known advances, but at a very early stage, would make a contemporary FW-190 quite a lethal machine with those few tweaks that would all be very feasible using existing manufacturing methods.

As I am rereading this now.. I got the hankering to post this.. and perhaps get another build underway based on it.

Beautiful model . Definately looks like it could be the next step in the 190's evolution.
