Just a quick question regarding the proposed submarine-launched F11F, as seen here:

I just got an F11F off ebay with this in mind and was wondering if the USN squadron code would be VSF-?, VFS-?, just VF-? or something else entirely?

Thanks for your thoughts.

There was a VSF code for an Anti-Submarine Fighter Squadron from 1965-1973.

You can research the following links for an appropriate squadron designation:

What about VVF or VFV? The second V for Vertical?

Thanks for the input guys. VSF implied to me Anti-Submarine (Fighter) and my suspicion has now been confirmed so I'm leaning toward VFS for this.

I'm by no means ignoring the suggestion of VFV though. Sounds good for a squadron of FY Pogos to me
