Just finished this model a couple hours ago, it was built from the Academy kit. The Fw 190 seen in some of these pics is built from the Eduard 1/144 scale kit.

Nice, did you airbrush the squiggles
I have 1:144 He111 by some japanese company at home, I think I'll have to find a funky real world scheme and build mine.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

>Nice, did you airbrush the squiggles?<

Actually, I hear they were SUPPOSED TO BE straight lines, but he had too much coffee that morning!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

The level of talent and skill it took to get the Minicraft kit to this is super-human! Matrixone, you've done this kit far more justice than I'd ever be capable of!

Beautiful job on the camo pattern in 1/144.  That took some skill and a good airbrush.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

A squiggle camo is hard enough in 1/48th or1/72 but to attempt it in 1/144th is challanging to say the least.

And you have pulled it off brilliantly!

Thanks guys!

The squiggles were not that hard to paint, the most trouble I had was with my paint because it was slightly too thick and it kept trying to spatter on me. I used Model Master enamels for the RLM 76 squiggles because I did not have any Xtracolor paint in the color shade, I am sure I would have had an easier time trying to airbrush this type of camouflage pattern using Xtracolor paint.

As you can see in some of my pics I attempted to do some forced perspective shots but they were a failure because it was such a dark overcast day, I have had better luck doing these type of shots on bright sunny days when its easier to get everything in focus.

Now that the He 111 is off my work table and on the shelf I will be clearing off my workspace and getting ready to paint a new backdrop...this one will be the biggest backdrop that I have attempted yet. I will post some in-progress pics when I can. After the backdrop is finished I will build at least one new hanger and then its nothing but airplanes for the rest of this year.

Stunning work in any scale, but particularly impressive in 1/144th....

JHM, Sauragnmon, and Jeff G, thanks for the kind words!

Next airplane model will be a Huma Ta 283, I will post some in-progress pics of it in a few weeks, right now the new backdrop is being painted and its size takes up my entire modeling area leaving no room for even starting anything else.
